Netsuke, ivory; the artist carved an octopus, which is visibly gliding with his long stretched tentacles in the depths of the sea. The in dark horn inlaid eyes give it a very funny expression. Horn eingelegten Pupillen verleihen ihm einen witzigen Ausdruck. Unsigned, early 19th c., Length 6,8 cm. Condition; good, nice patina by much wearing. |
